How to clear your browser cache completely

Postby Carlos » Fri Jan 07, 2011 1:46 pm

There are times when you might need to clear your browser cache in order to fix a bug in Remote Potato, or re-load channels. Silverlight has its own internal data store which needs clearing too. Here's how to do that:

IN YOUR WEB BROWSER:
1. Firstly, browse to the Remote Potato main menu. (in Silverlight, not HTML)
2. Right click anywhere on the page and choose 'Silverlight' in the pop-up menu that appears.
3. A window will appear - select the 'Application Storage' tab.
4. Click the 'Delete All' button at the bottom of the window and confirm, then close the window.
5. You might also want to clear your browser's own cache too -- this depends on the browser, see links below.
6. Close and re-launch your web browser.

How to clear a browser's cache:
Internet Explorer
Firefox
Google Chrome
Safari
Other browsers ;)
